Directions

Routes to Dutasan peak from the Mureunggyegok valley.

Everything except for the valley requires a bit of scrambling, but nothing crazy. It’s a long hike though, and the wind chill in winter can be really freezing.

Battlerock route (fastest, red route)

Directly after bridge, go up to Battle Rock (45m)

Go to Three-way intersection or Samgeori

Then follow Dutasan peak

Fortress route (scenic, yellow route)

Valley for 2 km, then go up, just after a bridge, there is a sign

At the fortress, go to Three-way intersection or Samgeori. There is a waterfall on your right a few hundred meters after the fortress. That would take you back to the end of the valley (the 2 waterfalls known as Sang po po).

Detour option (scenic, blue)

From the Three-way intersection or Samgeori, you can go straight down to the valley via the fortress, or cross the waterfall and back to the end of the valley (the 2 waterfalls known as Sang po po).
